CrockPot Cook Off & Silent Auction Fundraiser

CrockPot Cook Off Information - Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners. Members Choice will receive a trophy. Crock pots need to be to the kitchen door between 3 and 3:45 pm Judges and Members choice winner announced between 4 and 4:30 pm. Finally, CrockPots will be open for all you can eat for $5.00(till the food is gone) starts at 4:30!

Veterans Day Events!

In conjunction with the American Legion, remembrance ceremonies will begin at 10 AM down at Woodside Cemetary at the Veterans Memorial. All are welcome to join the ceremony to pay tribute to our local veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Vets help commemorate Patriot Day with MHS Students

Before the Middletown High School Girls Varsity Soccer team took the field on Sept 11, 2014, students, veterans and the community remembered all who had fallen that day in 2001. During the pre-game ceremony, veterans from VFW Post 3809 were recoginized for their service by  ladies from both the Middletown High School and Lakota West Varsity Girls Soccer team.

The students of Middletown High School also took this opportunity to do a fund raiser for the Wounded Warrier Project....

July 4th Parade & Cookout!

Middletown will host its Fourth of July Parade, themed  "All Star salute to America" The parade lineup will be at 9 a.m., with the parade beginning promptly at 10 a.m. Participants are encouraged to register for the event, which will begin at 14th Avenue and Verity Parkway. The parade route ends at Smith Park, where an award ceremony for floats and participants in the parade will follow.

Events start at 5 pm with dinner. Our very own member, John Adams will be roasting a whole hog and bringing the pulled pork to the Post. Bring a covered dish and join us for dinner! At 8pm, the band Back Porch Jesus will be concluding the evening's event.
