It's A New Year!

Posted on January 12, 2015 at 4:45 PM

With a new year ahead, new features will be coming our way. Per suggestions from post members, we have added a "Recent Obituaries" page found under the Members dropdown. We will be adding a "Featured Family" page soon to feature happy news regarding our members and their families.

You will notice some changes to our navigation bar as well. All information regarding regular membership and auxiliaries can be found under the Join Our Post dropdown. You will still be able to download applications and find out information regarding each group.

We also added an About our Post page so we can add more information regarding our Post history and Journal News articles. Part of the dropdown is also dedicated to information regarding the Social Club.

Please continue to provide suggestions and we'll look to getting things updated!

Happy New Year to All!

Sincerely,

Melissa Bauer (Web Master).

Updated! Help with the Ditty Bags

Posted on November 8, 2014 at 8:10 PM

Please note the list has been updated as of 11/13/2014! We now have all bags to load items into please see list below for items still needed! Thank you for your help and support.

Each year the Ladies Auxiliary tries to make Christmas a special time for those veterans recovering in Dayton's VA Hospital. Help us this year in making that happen once again. We are collecting donations for our veterans ditty bags that we will hand out during December's Hospital Visit.

Items we are collecting:

  • Hats
  • Hand Lotion—small
  • Microwave Popcorn—There are usually 3 to 5 in a pack.
  • Gloves---They are brown and 5 to a pack.
  • Note Pads

Please make sure hand lotions and tooth paste tubes are Travel Size. We CANNOT USE anything larger than trial size!! We are looking to make approximately 70 ditty bags this year. Please drop items off to the VFW Post. There will be a round bin in the front next to the bulletin board to place your donations in. Please contact a Ladies Auxiliary member if you have any questions.

Thank you for helping!
